- Welcome to new members and visitors
- Program: Photographer Rachael Pongetti – The Graffiti Bridge Project. This has been a photo a day project since Jan. 1, 2011, photographing the changes that take place daily on the 17th St. Railroad bridge in Pensacola. Come learn how this has evolved and some history of graffiti. You’ll be surprised who is writing about their lives on the bridge! Rachael will also discuss some details on how to manage such a project.
- November Night Photography – Review and Discussion Be sure to bring your prints. There will be a prize for the best image.

- Po10tial Magazine Call for Entries – Katherine Quarles, publisher, has invited WAPC Members to submit photos to be considered for publication in the monthly magazine, Po10tial.

We would also appreciate members that will volunteer to assist people with changing their settings at each station.

Where: 80 Wright Place, Pensacola, FL
The 18th Annual Power of Photography Show exhibit and Trade Expo will take place this weekend. One hundred and sixteen artists contributed eight hundred prints for this year’s competition. A panel of three photography professionals were the official judges. ARC Gateway is the beneficiary of this event. Three hundred of the top scoring prints will be on display plus prints contributed by thirty-five youth. Photography related products have been contributed for the trade expo. These items will be available for purchase and through benefit raffles. A Members Show of framed prints is on display at the Wright Place also.
In addition, Saturday: 10AM OnOne Software will be demonstrating their Perfect Photo Suite 5.5 which includes resizing, focal point, changing backgrounds, portraits, and color.

There will be still life items (and a live model) to photograph using a Wescott lighting set, Lensbaby lenses and creative apertures, Logan Mat Cutter, Lowe Pro, Kelly Moore, and Think Tank Bags; Lumiquest Lighting items, NAPP DVDs; Paper by Red River and Moab; camera straps and systems by UpStrap and Cotton Carriers; and a lot of other cool products to check out.
Sunday – 12N closed silent auction bids for trade show items will be opened for final bids; winners will be announced beginning at 2PM
Show breakdown will begin at 4 PM; participants can pick up images and awards after 4 PM; any non-member entrants who would like to acquire their print scores may do so for a fee of $2 per image. Prints that did not make the show can be picked up any time after the show opens on Friday morning and must be picked up by Sunday 6PM. Wide Angle Photo Club, Inc. appreciated the participation of all the artists who have contributed to this show.

The Power of Photography Show is almost here. Thanks to all those members who have helped so far.
We have four days of activities coming up and need to make sure we have helpers for the time. Going over the calendar will be our primary event at this month’s meeting. Bring yours so we can syncronize. If you want to get a lesson in what makes an award image, come help during the show.

Tip of the Month – Tripods
Call for Entries – Saturday June 25th is the final check in day for entries for the Power of Photography Show, 10 -2 for the general public. Costs for entries is $10 per print for adults; Youth special is 1 Free and 1 $5; limit 2 prints at this price. Members check in time is 9 AM. Come early and volunteer to help. Volunteers check in at 8 AM. We need volunteers as greeters, print checkers, workers to help “make them right”, and print sorters. Later in the day we will need print handlers, title readers, and score runners as our esteemed judges find the cream of the crop! Contact Marty Campbell to confirm your time & position. 850 293-1079.
To make your check-in painless, be sure to read and follow all the instructions listed under Power of Photography, print out your entry forms and pre-fill them out before coming to check-in. Entry fees paid by check should be made out to Wide Angle Photo Club, Inc. (WAPC works, too).
