Main Event: Club Members submit photos in “color” or “black and white” to be judged
How many photos to submit by e-mail attachment: 4 or 5
Recommended size of each photo: 1150 x 766 or similar size

In preparation for the upcoming WAPC meeting, we ask of each member to submit photographs for comments and tips. In the last month’s meeting, WAPC members had a chance to see first-hand how photos will be viewed and commented upon. The purpose is to allow each member to hear (anonymously) what is great about their work as well as tips to further improve their photography. Photos are to be submitted via email to Harry Purcell at hjpurcell@bellsouth.net. We hope to see everyone attend!

Thunderbirds Air Show

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline the 75th Anniversary Eglin Air Force Base Air Show will be held on the installation Apr. 10-11, 2010. Gates open at exactly 9 a.m. Any early air show arrivals will be asked to wait or vectored away to ensure traffic flow continues. Gates will close to incoming air show arrivals at 3 p.m. (30 minutes prior to the Thunderbirds show.)

A variety of aerial performers, static displays, and vendors will be presented. Links to acts, maps, schedules, etc. will appear below upon availability. Some of the WAPC members are going to meet on Saturday, April 10 at 7:45am at Panera Bread for breakfast. Panera Bread is in front of the Santa Rosa Mall at 350 Mary Ester Blvd. About 8:45am we can all drive to the Eglin AFB for the Air Show and the main event at 3:30 featuring the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. Who’s going?

The Wide Angle Photo Club (WAPC) will be meeting at its scheduled second Monday of the month at ARC. This month’s club meeting is on Monday, April 12, 6:00pm to 9:00pm. This month’s agenda is as follows:

COMPOSITION PRESENTATION
Time: 6:00pm to 6:50pm
Presenter: Dan Murray, Retired U.S. Navy Photo Instructor (WAPC Member)

CLUB WELCOME / NEXT FIELD TRIP / OTHER BUSINESS
Time: 7:00pm to 7:15pm

2010 POWER OF PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW UPDATE
Time: 7:15pm to 7:30pm
Presenter: Marty Campbell, WAPC POP SHOW Chairman

PHOTO JUDGING
Time: 7:30pm to 9:00pm
There will be a 10 minute break at 8:20pm
Presentation:: Various photos submitted by board members will be judged by a panel of three people on how to shoot better photos and create better post editing. Next month at the May club meeting we will accept (3)photos by e-mail JPG attachment from each club member, but the photos will not be identified by club member name to avoid any kind of embarrassment. The photos will be shown on our projector screen and judged by a panel of three. We will post on the website the photo submission instructions for club members two weeks prior to the May club meeting.
